Restorable Car Wanted

Do you have a Franklin that is a restoration project that has taken a hiatus? Or a Franklin that is not quite what would be considered road worthy, but time has conspired against your being able to work on it? Would you like to help out the Franklin Club by donating it, or having the Franklin Club coordinate its sale?

Weight and Looks Recommend Franklin Wire Wheel Equipment

From the Dec. 22, 1927 Franklin Company Dealer's Bulletin

Although the wood artillery wheel, which is standard equipment on the stock models of the Airman line, will doubtless always represent the truest artistic conception of the conservative school, wire wheels have their vogue with certain types of buyers and particularly on certain types of cars.

For this purpose the Franklin company is using Hayes wire wheels which offer two distinct advantages over other types on the market. In the first place, the Hayes hub is much larger giving a more swagger appearance and balancing better the open space areas that are characteristic of wire constructions.

In the second place, and which is most important from the standpoint of service and easy riding, the Hayes wheel is considerably lighter than the others, having dispensed (by an ingenious fastening of the spokes to the hub) with an extra cylinder of metal, adding alike to simplicity and strength.
